From the A64 bypass south-east of York, take the A1079 Hull Road into York. You will reach some traffic lights, just outside the city walls. Carry on straight ahead, through Walmgate Bar and as far as you can go, before it becomes one way. Here you are directed to turn left down St Denys Road, turn right up Piccadily. Here, there are 2 adequately sized car parks.
From the north and west, look at the map, and ask for directions if you get lost.
There are no parking facilities at Coney Street. If traveling by car, there are many Park and Ride facilities and lots of multi storey car parks around the area.
From the railway station a taxi costs about £2.50. The Taxi rank is outside the main station foyer. Or telephone Station Taxis 01904 623332 or 628197 or Ace Taxis 01904 638888. Regular buses run between York Railway Station and Stonebow or Piccadilly. Bus enquiries: Rider York 01904 624161.
If you are feeling energetic, it only takes about twenty minutes to walk from the station to City Screen and The Gateway Internet Café.
The Café itself is in the cinema’s Basement Bar, which can be found on the left at the bottom of the stairs in the lobby. If you’re unsure, please ask the box office staff for directions.
